A bit of trivia to begin with. RSS was originally known as RDF Site Summary. RDF (Resource Description Framework) is a family of W3C (Worldwide Web Consortium) specifications. RDF Site Summary became known as RSS (Rich Site Summary) and is now often dubbed Really Simple Syndication which is actually a more understandable definition. OK, too much information! An RSS feed allows you to view frequently updated information from a website, which means that you could "subscribe" (there's no cost involved) to the RSS feed from Churches Together in England and view their extensive library of frequently updated articles and information on a wide range of topics. To access this service, you will need to download an RSS Reader. When you click the RSS icon on the Churches Together in England website, you will see some options. Download the Reader as a bookmark on your browser. Once this is done, you will be able to receive the RSS feed from Churches Together in England from your own browser. Simple! |
